Victorian Flying Saucer Research Society

Organisation 3 stories, 1960 to 1966

A Melbourne research group with a long reach into Australian sighting history. Its press cuttings brought the 1960 Cressy case of Rev. Lionel Browning to James E. McDonald, who went on to interview Browning in 1967. April 1966. Balwyn, Melbourne. One of its members, the company director James Johnson Kibel, was at the centre of the Balwyn UFO Photograph. That same year, after the Westall School sighting, a student named Joy Tighe filled in one of the society's report forms. It recorded flattened grass ten yards across, and an object that turned edge on and vanished fast.
