Ground Saucer Watch was a photo analysis group based in Phoenix. It ran under William Spaulding and became known for its computer enhancement of UFO pictures. In 1975 and 1976 it judged the Balwyn photograph a montage. It said its analysis of the Paul Villa pictures showed strings tied to the surrounding trees. For San José de Valderas it found a small object near the camera, apparently hanging from power lines. Not every verdict went against the photographer. The Lago de Cote aerial image, sent in 1979, was judged to have been made in good faith.
