A French engineer at the national space agency, CNES. In 1977 CNES created GEPAN, a small unit for UFO reports, and Claude Poher ran it until 1979. April 1978. He took a team back to Les Tuiles to look again at the Cussac Close Encounter of 1967. A magistrate was part of that team. They interviewed the witnesses, now adults, and rebuilt the scene with a theodolite. He also looked at the San José de Valderas photographs from the Ummo affair. There he reported a suspension thread. In 1996 the Guardia Civil's Criminology Division disagreed and called it a scratch on the negative.
