John G. Fuller

Person 5 stories, 1961 to 1972

John G. Fuller was an author who took several of the 1960s' best-known encounters to a national readership. In 1966 his book The Interrupted Journey brought the story of Betty and Barney Hill to the whole country. That same year came Incident at Exeter. To write it, Fuller interviewed more than 60 witnesses, and the book made the New York Times bestseller list. It also covered the Cherry Creek bull landing and the Clay sighting during the 1965 Northeast blackout. In 1976 he published The Ghost of Flight 401, built from the accounts of airline staff who asked to stay anonymous.
