A newspaperman turned Sasquatch researcher from British Columbia. John Green owned The Advance in Agassiz, and in its pages he printed William Roe's 1955 affidavit about the creature on Mica Mountain. Then came 1957. A letter arrived from Albert Ostman, a retired prospector who had kept his claimed 1924 abduction secret for 33 years. That same year Green re-interviewed the Chapman family about the Ruby Creek encounter, and the case convinced him. He settled in Harrison Hot Springs and went on to some 60 years of research. Later, he helped make the first assessment of the Skookum Cast.
