Bluff Creek

Place 4 stories, 1941 to 1967

A creek in the Six Rivers National Forest of far northern California. Summer 1958. Bulldozer operator Jerry Crew found 16-inch tracks there while a crew cut a new timber road, and the Humboldt Times coined a name: Bigfoot. Then came Friday, October 20, 1967. Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin were riding along the east bank when they saw a creature across the creek, and Patterson filmed it walking away. Later debate touched other cases too. Green claimed the Ruby Creek tracing matched Bluff Creek prints, and Darren Naish linked William Roe's account to the film.
