A sceptical investigator, often writing in Skeptical Inquirer, whose name turns up again and again in the debate that follows the famous cases. In 2000 he took on the Flatwoods Monster. The bright light was a meteor, he argued, and the creature a startled barn owl. In 2006 he gave Kelly-Hopkinsville a similar reading, with great horned owls standing in for the visitors. With James McGaha he pointed to a KC-97 tanker at Exeter and to F-16 formations over Stephenville. He also studied the Alien Autopsy Film, noting that the examiner held the scissors like a tailor.
