The War Zone is a news outlet that kept turning up in airline sighting cases. Its writer Tyler Rogoway broke the Oregon 'White Aircraft' story on November 16, 2017. Later he obtained FAA tapes about it under FOIA. In 2018 he published the FAA recording of the Arizona Learjet and American Airlines Flight 1095 sighting first, and major networks followed. Rogoway and Joseph Trevithick also challenged the meteor explanation for the Shannon and Kerry coast pilot sightings. In 2021 the outlet published the transcript from American Airlines Flight 2292 and judged a secret aircraft unlikely.
