An air base at Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kirtland Air Force Base turns up again and again in the archive's New Mexico cases. Late 1948. Reports of green fireballs reached the base, along with Sandia Base and Los Alamos. November 4, 1957. Two Civil Aeronautics Administration controllers, R. M. Kaser and E. G. Brink, were on duty in the Kirtland tower on the night of their sighting. Between them they had 23 years of control tower experience. In 2021, after American Airlines Flight 2292 reported a long cylindrical object, a base spokeswoman said they were not aware of anything.
