An Italian researcher, he was the founder of the Centro Ufologico Nazionale and later served as its president. His name runs through several of the archive's Italian cases. He studied the Cennina landing of 1954 in 1977, years after the first real inquiry. He also wrote about the alleged Magenta crash of 1933, and his article gives 11 April as the date. The original files point to 13 June. He had no patience for the ballooning spider theory offered for the 1954 Florence stadium sighting. He called it an old and stupid story.
