An Italian organisation of UFO researchers, founded by Roberto Pinotti, who later served as its president. Its catalogue of sightings appears in the 1954 wave over Rome. The Rome half-cigar over Ciampino and Pratica di Mare is logged there with thousands of witnesses. The same catalogue lists more cigars that autumn, among them one seen by a radar colonel at Tor Vaianica on 16 October. Pinotti also studied the Cennina landing of 1954 in 1977. On the Florence stadium sighting of the same year, he was blunt. He called it an old and stupid story.
