Britain's Ministry of Defence kept a small desk for UFO reports for more than 50 years. Until 1967, its policy was to destroy the files every five years. In 1981, Halt's Rendlesham Forest memo reached the MoD. The ministry judged the event no threat to national security and interviewed no witnesses. March 1993. More than 30 sightings of the Cosford Incident reached the ministry in about six hours, and Nick Pope briefed his superiors on an unidentified object. Between 2008 and 2013, the files went to The National Archives. The gaps they left fed talk of a cover-up.
