ATIC was where Air Force UFO reports ended up being analysed. January 24, 1949. An Air Weather Service analysis of the Gorman Dogfight reached it. That analysis said Gorman had chased a lighted weather balloon and, late in the chase, probably Jupiter. December 1952. The report on the B-29 radar-visual encounter over the Gulf of Mexico went to ATIC and Project Blue Book, and it remains unidentified in USAF files. After the Kinross Incident of 1953, ATIC stated that the Air Force files had no record of a sighting at Kinross AFB on 23 November 1953.
