Strategic Air Command ran America's nuclear bombers and missiles, and several of the archive's most unsettling base incidents took place under its watch. March 16, 1967. At Malmstrom AFB in Montana, all ten Minuteman missiles in Echo Flight dropped off strategic alert within ten seconds of each other, and a SAC message called it cause for grave concern. October 1968. At Minot AFB in North Dakota, a B-52H crew and ground witnesses reported strange objects. SAC's debriefings and radar analysis never reached Blue Book. In late October 1975, something began visiting the weapons storage area at Loring AFB in Maine by night.
