FOTOCAT

Programme 3 stories, 1954 to 1966

FOTOCAT is a catalogue and research project focused on UFO photographs, linked to V.J. Ballester Olmos. Its verdicts arrive after the witnesses have had their say. For the Coniston saucer photograph of 1954, the catalogue lists the image as a fake. In 2012 the project published John R. English of NARCAP on Stephen Pratt's Conisbrough photograph. Working from copies of the negatives, English judged it a highly probable hoax. In 2020 came FOTOCAT Report #3, on the 1965 Antarctic sightings. After six years of work, its authors judged the key sightings most probably a meteor, Echo II, and Mars or bright stars.
