R. Leo Sprinkle was a psychologist at the University of Wyoming. Hypnosis was his tool. November 1974. He used it with Carl Higdon to explore missing time, and concluded Higdon was reporting sincerely. In June 1976 he hypnotised the three women of the Stanford, Kentucky case in Liberty, and judged abduction and examination the best hypothesis. In 1980 he flew in for Myrna Hansen, holding sessions inside Paul Bennewitz's foil-covered Lincoln Town Car. Sceptics later questioned his methods, noting that hypnotic regression can produce confabulated memories.
