Jason Colavito

Jason Colavito is a writer whose voice turns up when old legends need checking. In the archive he mostly plays the critic. He traced how the 1897 Le Roy calf-napping hoax, long exposed, still appeared as genuine in the 1979 documentary UFOs: It Has Begun, hosted by Rod Serling. He read the 1952 Spitsbergen saucer crash against Cold War tensions over Svalbard. He also pointed to a 1968 NSA airgram marked "PLANT." He has called claims that the Tulli Papyrus is authentic false. He also raised concerns about Jake Barber's 2025 egg crash-retrieval video.
