A Navy commander and the lead pilot in the USS Nimitz "Tic Tac" Encounter of 2004. November 14, 2004. About 11 a.m. Cmdr. David Fravor, commanding officer of the VFA-41 Black Aces, was airborne off Southern California with Lt. Cmdr. Jim Slaight. Above whitewater on a calm sea he saw a white Tic Tac object, about 40 feet long, with no rotors and no wings. It rapidly accelerated and was gone. His account came up again in the AATIP Revelation of 2017. In 2023, as a retired commander, he told it once more at the Congressional UAP Whistleblower Hearing.
