An astronomer and investigator, Walter N. Webb turns up across decades of the archive's cases. October, 1961. As NICAP's man, he questioned Betty and Barney Hill for six hours and concluded they were telling the truth. In 1968 he looked into the Buff Ledge Camp abduction, assigned by the Center for UFO Studies, and hypnotised each witness separately. As assistant director of the Hayden Planetarium, he helped Loren Coleman measure the Dover Demon sites. Later, as chief investigator for the UFO Research Coalition, he studied the America West Flight 564 sighting.
