Friday, April 24, 1964. About 5:45 in the afternoon. Socorro police officer Lonnie Zamora was chasing a speeding car when he heard a roar and saw a flame in the sky. He reported an egg-shaped craft, two small figures in white coveralls, four landing depressions and scorched brush. Project Blue Book checked for aircraft, balloons and missile activity, found none, and listed the case as unidentified. His report is often told together with the Gary Wilcox encounter of the same day and the La Madera landing about 31 hours later, and in 2010 Redfern compared it with PC Colin Perks's Wilmslow sighting.
