Constance Whyte wrote More Than a Legend, published in 1957, and spent years following up on the Loch Ness Monster. May 1955. She heard Mrs Spicer confirm the Spicer land sighting and recorded the animal's body as about 4 feet high and 10 to 12 feet long. That same year she found Hugh Gray still standing by the first claimed photograph of the creature. In More Than a Legend she also published the second, rarely seen picture linked to the Surgeon's Photograph. In it the head and neck sit at a clearly different angle.
