Event 3 stories, 1883 to 1994

Tunguska serves the archive as a yardstick for impacts from space. In the Bonilla case of 1883, three UNAM researchers argued in October 2011 that the 447 objects were fragments of a comet breaking apart near Earth. Had they struck, they wrote, there would have been 3275 Tunguska events in two days. Marina Popovich placed Tunguska on her list of five sites where, she claimed, the KGB recovered crash fragments. Dalnegorsk was on that list too. After the Duxi Forest Farm event of 1994, That's Mags compared the case with Tunguska and Chelyabinsk.
