Benjamin Radford, a sceptic, investigated several of the archive's best-known cryptid cases. In 2003 he recreated Sandra Mansi's 1977 Champ photograph for the Skeptical Inquirer, using an Instamatic 110. He and Joe Nickell came to favour a floating log or tree stump. In 2005 he returned to Okanagan Lake for Is It Real? and concluded that Art Folden's Ogopogo was a real animal whose size had been greatly overestimated. June 2010. He visited Canóvanas with Madelyne Tolentino and tied her chupacabra to the film Species, then wrote Tracking the Chupacabra in 2011.
