Lyle Blackburn

Lyle Blackburn is an author and researcher of North American monster cases, and his books come up again and again in this archive. He wrote Lake Worth Monster (2024). In his retelling of the July 1969 Greer Island encounter, something climbed onto John Reichart's car and tried to reach his wife Linda. In 2019 he published Momo: The Strange Case of the Missouri Monster. He also wrote Lizard Man: The True Story of the Bishopville Monster, about Christopher Davis's 1988 encounter in Scape Ore Swamp. In that book he concluded that whatever it was had moved on or disappeared.
