This 12 October 2016 criminal judgment from the Tribunal de grande instance de Bourges concerns two drone and model-making enthusiasts. In October and November 2014 they flew drones inside the prohibited five-kilometre zone around the Belleville-sur-Loire nuclear power plant. The court found them guilty of negligently overflying a prohibited zone, noting that they had been filming a remote-controlled boat at a time of controversy over multiple drone overflights of nuclear plants. It waived any penalty, ordered their drones confiscated, and required them to pay EDF one symbolic euro plus 500 euros in costs.
