A British body of investigators. Across these cases it collected reports, ran inquiries and published verdicts. In 1905 Rev. A.T. Fryer gathered accounts of the Egryn Lights by post for the Society and published them in its Proceedings. That December, it reached no verdict. In 1915 it found the Angels of Mons stories rested on mere rumour. At Enfield, Maurice Grosse of the Society arrived on 5 September 1977. In May 1978 an SPR committee found good evidence of paranormal events from credible witnesses.
