Ricardo Campo Pérez is a researcher whose work runs through two strands of Spanish-speaking ufology. On the Peruvian contact movement, he describes Misión Rama as a UFO religion rooted in Theosophy, spiritism and occultism, beginning with the 1974 Chilca desert sightings. On the Canary Islands, he co-authored an answer with Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos. March 2001. Their analysis appeared in the Spanish Air Force's journal. It tied the glowing spheres of 1976 and 1979 to US Navy Poseidon C-3 missiles fired from submarines, matched against Jonathan McDowell's launch database.
