H.R. 8424, the UAP Transparency Act, was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives on May 16, 2024, by Mr. Burchett with Mr. Moskowitz, Mrs. Luna and Mr. Burlison, and referred to the Committee on Oversight and Accountability. The bill would require the President, within 270 days of enactment, to direct every federal agency holding records on unidentified anomalous phenomena to declassify them and post them on a public website. It would also require quarterly progress reports to House and Senate committees.
