This is an FBI Freedom of Information/Privacy Acts release to John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault, dated March 29, 2023, covering United Nuclear Scientific Supplies. It was the first interim release: of 517 pages reviewed, 119 were released. The records come from the FBI Albuquerque JTTF and describe a 2006 case. An unidentified caller asked the company for chemicals that could serve as Sarin precursors, then turned up in person at the business. The file also contains grand jury subpoenas and interview notes.

Of the businesses nationwide that claimed to have some of the above listed chemicals available for purchase, two were of particular interest: • claimed to have each of the chemicalswww.intlab.orq of interest for sale. Judging from the contact name ___________ and some minor inconsistencies in the English language present on the website, it is possible this company has significant ties to China, even though it has California contact information. • claims to have all the chemicals onwww.qelest.com the precursor list available, with the exception of Aluminum Chloride. Sources Numerous state agencies were contacted to determine if a pre-existing list of chemical wholesalers was available. After contacting individuals from the State of New Mexico's Department of Homeland Security, Department of Public Safety, Hazardous Waste Bureau and Environment Department, it was determined that no such list is in existence. Open source research revealed myriad wholesale and retail chemical businesses in New Mexico, but records of the specific chemicals which might be for sale were not found. Many of the businesses appeared to be directly connected to the gas and oil industry, agriculture, or other specific fields, like industrial cleaners. In instances where a chemical-related business was clearly associated with a specialty field, the business was left off of the enclosed spreadsheet. If a business appeared to be related to the chemical industry but no further information was available, the business was included. Possible Contacts The attached spreadsheet is organized into seven categories - the six sarin precursor chemicals, and a seventh "unknown inventory" section. Each section then alphabetically lists businesses that advertised the availability of that specific chemical, and more detailed column headings provide a company address and source of information. When available, a contact name, phone number, website, and comments are also included. Information that is duplicated elsewhere on the spreadsheet have the cells highlighted in matching colors. b6 b7C
