This is an FBI Freedom of Information/Privacy Acts release to John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault, dated March 29, 2023, covering United Nuclear Scientific Supplies. It was the first interim release: of 517 pages reviewed, 119 were released. The records come from the FBI Albuquerque JTTF and describe a 2006 case. An unidentified caller asked the company for chemicals that could serve as Sarin precursors, then turned up in person at the business. The file also contains grand jury subpoenas and interview notes.

Details: In an attempt to identify chemical suppliers who might have been contacted by the captioned UNSUB, liaison was conducted with logical state agencies and research was conducted in FBI and open sources. However, no single chemical supplier in New Mexico stood out as an obvious seller from which the UNSUB could have attempted to acquire the sarin precursor chemicals triethyl phosphite, triisopropyl phosphite, sodium fluoride, aluminum chloride, methyl chloride, and isopropyl alcohol. Numerous out-of-country businesses claimed to have these chemicals for sale, including businesses based in China, Germany, Belgium, Austria, India and the UK. Of the US
