This Defense Intelligence Agency release gathers Army and Air Force intelligence reports on unidentified flying objects from several countries. It contains translated Finnish Border Guard reports of glowing spheres and lights seen near the Soviet border, a Costa Rica sighting near Puntarenas, and Afghan news items from 1959 on bright objects over Kandahar, Mazar-i-Sharif and Kabul. Other reports describe objects over Kuldja in Sinkiang, China. A 1969 OSI report from Nakhon Phanom, Thailand concludes that a pilot's ground sighting was probably a religious procession carrying ceremonial drums.

WILLIAMS Local inhabitant R.SERIES 40 R-00-00 Traveler on Pan American Highway reports unidentified flying object in vicinity of Puntarenas. ## המשתמש ## DISTRIBUTION BY OFFICIATOR: G-B, DEHARCARIE, AIRA, Customs Mr. Alfred C. Benn, while traveling on the Pan American Highway in the vivinity of Puntarenas reported that he observed an unidentified flying object approximate six miles away or half way between his location on the highway and the port of Puntarenas. This occurred at 0010 hours the morning of Monday, 11 May 1939. The object was circular in shape with a bluish white light at Puntarenas and it was observed by oblique head, and at the distance observed was approximately half the size of the full moon which was shining at that time. When first observed it was moving very slowly in the sky and then increased and when next observed appeared to have landed. Then observed from the sky of the jump, in which he was riding, Mr. Bean said it first had a blue-white light turning to blue and then to yellow. The object appeared to be rotating on an axis and two dotted lights, separated by the black band around the middle of the object, appeared in the middle of the object, as it turned these lights merged into one. המשתמש: P Ewanth
