This Central Intelligence Agency file, dated 29 September 1975, collects Office of Security memoranda written while the Senate Select Committee was investigating the Agency. Staff were told to alert former employees about possible committee contact over Project MERRIMAC/RESISTANCE, and the file answers committee questions about Hayes International and Bay of Pigs pilots. It also records staff interviews about CIA name checks at NSA and a Justice Department request for records on domestic electronic surveillance. It contains no material on UFOs.

Subject was approved in 1957 for contract employment in Germany. f. 27 November 1962 -- Was approved for conversion from Contract to Staff Employee status as a GS~l4 Opera- tions Officer, SR Division. g. ll February 1965 -- Converted to Contract Type A status for use in Bern, Switzerland. h. 31 October 1968 -e Retired in the field. i. 7 March 1972 -- Security approved as a Contract Type A Independent Contractor on Project MHVICAR. j. 21 November 1973 -- Security approved for Contract Type I employment to prepare a history of the Swiss Sta- tion. k. 30 October 1974 ~- Approved through Top Secret with access to Headquarters building for a six-month period to do a sensitive case analysis for the Chief, Counterintelligence. 1. 30 April 1975 -- The clearance to do the sensi- tive case analysis for the Chief, Counterintelligence, was extended for six more months. S. The Subject was favorably investigated for Office of Security employment in 1944. A reinvestigation of Subject was ordered by "helms" in 1946 because of information on Subject's brother. This investigation was favorable and Mr. Helms gggermined that SubJect's security approval would remain in ec . 6. SUb]8Ct was personally interviewed by Colonel Edwards and Mr. Bannerman on 16 November 1948 relative to the degree of her association with her in-laws. There was no indication that Subject was closely associated with the in-laws or that Subject had been adversely influenced by their liberal or leftist tendencies. Her statements regarding the in—1aws were verified by polygraph examination on 16 November 1948 with favorable results. EYES ONLY
