This Central Intelligence Agency memorandum, dated 21 February 1967, answers a speed letter of 30 January 1967 asking for analysis of UFO images on furnished photographic prints. The analysts note that copies, not originals, were examined, compare image sharpness and size between prints, and weigh a distant large object against a small nearby model. They conclude that authenticity cannot be decided from the prints, that an analysis of the original photograph would provide more information, and that several facts fit the model theory.

THROUGH: SUBJECT: Answer to Request of Good Letter dated 30 January 1967 1. Analysis of the UFO large on the provided photograph are pertinent to the limited extent permitted by the very prints. It must be remembered that the conclusions presented are based on the evaluation of services rather than the original. The ongoing or canvass will only the growth and there characterization of the original image, but also any distort the necessity of conservation even when the exact circumstances are known. In this case these parameters are unknown. 2. The following are required for the basic of this early one. The accuracy of these assumptions, however, is questionable. e. The total enlargement factor of print one and three in the sense. b. The total enlargement factor of prints two and five is the same. e. The total enlargement factor of paint one and three is approximately two times that of paint two and five. ## 3. Evaluation a. The pattern of reagent grain claring to dollar prints one and three and in prints two and five. b. The colour of the UFO images are more sharply defined in print than do those of the helice star images in print three. T-13
