AARO's Supplement to ORNL's Analysis of an Aluminum Specimen

All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office · 2 pages · text from the file's own layer

This January 2026 supplement from the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) adds historical context to an Oak Ridge National Laboratory analysis of a metallic specimen. The specimen was reportedly recovered in the mid-1990s from private property near Flint Ridge State Park, Ohio, after the owner saw a large unidentified airborne object. ORNL found it consistent with an ordinary aluminum alloy and detected no radioactivity. AARO concurs and assesses that the specimen is most likely a conventionally manufactured aluminum-silicon alloy, possibly from casting, recycling or an automotive fire.
