This is a Historic American Buildings Survey data page for the Japhet Leeds House in Leeds Point, Atlantic County, New Jersey, held by the Library of Congress under survey number NJ-399. Supervising historian Walter E. Rutt of Newark dated the entry April 26, 1959. It records that Japhet B. Leeds built the stone house in 1814 and that a frame addition was made in 1858. It names Jesse Mathis as the owner at the time and cites record searches at Mays Landing and Woodbury.
