Kamisu City published this feature in issue No. 409 of its public relations magazine, Koho Kamisu, dated 1 March 2024. It covers the Edo period tale Hitachi no Kuni Utsuro-bune Kidan, which says a disc-shaped boat carrying a strangely dressed woman drifted ashore in 1803. The article presents research by Professor Tanaka, including the Mito document's resemblance to the Konjiki-hime statue at Hoshifuku-ji and the 2014 Ban family document. According to the feature, that document places the landing site at Sharihama in the Hasaki district.
