This FBIS transcript, released through the National Archives under authority NND968063, relays a Rio de Janeiro Radio Tupi broadcast of 8 November 1963. The broadcast said a large metal sphere had fallen in the center of the municipality of Conde, in Bahia, and gouged a hole four meters deep. The sphere reportedly had window-shaped openings covered with thick glass. Inside was a human body in heavy clothing bearing inscriptions nobody could decipher, and the authorities had been informed.
