This NICAP compilation holds twelve pages of FBI teletypes, airtels and memoranda from April and May 1964, exchanged between the Albuquerque office and the FBI Director. They cover the April 24, 1964 Socorro, New Mexico sighting, in which an oval object with a red insignia left four indentations and burned patches. A second report from La Madera involved a burning tank-shaped object. The FBI conducted no investigation of its own and kept liaison with the military, whose officers had no explanation for either incident.

UNITED STATES GO MENT Memorandum TO : DIRECTOR, FBI DATE: 5/8/64 6AC, ALDUQUERQUE (G2-1028) (C) UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT BOCORRO, NEW MEXICO APRIL 24, 1964 MISCELLANEOUS - INFORMATION CONCERNING (NATIONALITIES INTELLIGENCE) Re Albuquerque airtel to Bureau, 4/28/64, and Bureau airtel to Albuquerque, 4/28/64. As noted in Albuquerque mirtel, Captain Stallion Range Center, Eocorro, N. A., was immediately advised, 4/24/64, of the facts in this case. He observed the site of the incident, 4/24/64, and made measurements while BA JR. was placing rocks around the four earth indentations and around one other mark at the site. Late 4/24/64 and into 4/25/64, Captain who is with the U. 5. Air Force, and interviewed of the SA typed up a statement like account from as given by under lengthy interrogation. Captain diagramed his measurements of the scene. Early 4/25/64, Captain and SA delivered the original and a copy of Captain's statements and Captain diagrams to the authorities at Stallion Site, approximately 30 miles southeast of Socorro.
