This NICAP compilation holds twelve pages of FBI teletypes, airtels and memoranda from April and May 1964, exchanged between the Albuquerque office and the FBI Director. They cover the April 24, 1964 Socorro, New Mexico sighting, in which an oval object with a red insignia left four indentations and burned patches. A second report from La Madera involved a burning tank-shaped object. The FBI conducted no investigation of its own and kept liaison with the military, whose officers had no explanation for either incident.

UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT CUCCURO, NEW INL ICO APRIL 24, 1964 Braden Burner Kyrner Special Agent Federal Bureau of Investigation, stationed at Albuquerque, New Mexico, was at Socorro, New Mexico, and at the State Police Office there on business late afternoon of April 24, 1964. New Long At approximately 5:45 to 5:50 P.M. radio operator in the Docorro County Sheriff's Office, located about thirty feet down the hall from the State Police Office, cano into the State Police Office. New Mexico State Police, then, had just received a radio call from Officer to come to an aron about one mile southwest of Focuro. The call was in relation to a train object which "landed and has taken off." Agent finished his work in the State Police Office at Focuro at approximately 6:00 P. M., April 24, 1964, and thoro-after proceeded to the site where Officer Socorro County Under Sheriff Sergeant and Officer New Mexico State Police, were assembled. It may be noted that it has been the observation of Agent that Officer known intimately for approximately five years, in well regarded as a color, industrious, and conscientious officer and not given to fantasy. Officer was noted to be perfectly noker and now that agitated over his experience.
