This Federal Bureau of Investigation office memorandum, dated April 17, 1958, was sent from Special Agent Robert Ross Reynolds to the Special Agent in Charge in Detroit. It records a phone report from a man named Weaver, age 23, who said he had just seen a circular object with a crystal-type dome that reflected light. He said it crossed Detroit from the southwest heading north, near Six Mile at Lamphere Street. Weaver had tried and failed to reach the Air Force at Selfridge Field, and the memo notes that the proper Air Force authorities should be advised.
