From the source: Release of 2026-08-07 Incident: 2026, Western United States. Released with redactions. This document is an FBI FD-302, a form the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) uses to record interviews. This FD-302 records a 2026 telephonic interview with a U.S. person, in which the interviewee describes two incidents potentially involving unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) in the western United States in 2026. A second individual who was present during the incidents at the time also provided an interview, recorded in this collection as “FBI-UAP-D037.” Two FBI digital renderings based upon the observers’ descriptions accompany this document, under the titles FBI-UAP-D041 and FBI-UAP-D042.

Date of entry 2026 described the lights as red in color and stated that a first glance, as well as when observed through Night Optical Devices (NODs), the lights appeared as a single point of light, however upon closer observation, This document contains neither recommendations nor conclusions of the FBI. It is the property of the FBI and is loaned to your agency; it and its contents are not to be distributed outside your agency.
