This is a 2026 FD-302 interview record from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, drafted after an FBI Special Agent interviewed a witness by telephone. The witness said their group stopped about 25 miles along a gated route near 2200 hours while doing area reconnaissance. They then watched a red light above a mountain crest move east. Six to ten more red lights appeared overhead and joined it heading east/southeast, and one light dropped about 1000 feet before disappearing. Names and locations are redacted.

This document is an FBI FD-302, a form the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) uses to record interviews. This FD-302 records a 2026 telephonic interview with a U.S. person, in which the interviewee describes two incidents potentially involving unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) in the western United States in 2026. A second individual who was present during the incidents at the time also provided an interview, recorded in this collection as “FBI-UAP-D037.” Two FBI digital renderings based upon the observers’ descriptions accompany this document, under the titles FBI-UAP-D041 and FBI-UAP-D042.

Initially , though t the ligh t was something o n the mounta i n , but it began t o move t o the east . Due to the mountain range being approximately 5000 feet an d t h e c l oud cover being at a pprox i mately 7000 feet , s tated he believed t h e l ight was t rave l ing somewhere between 5000 and 7000 feet above g r ound l eve l (AGL} .
