This Federal Bureau of Investigation FD-302 records a March 2025 interview, conducted over Microsoft Teams, with a soldier about a UAP sighting in early February 2022 near Fort Carson, Colorado. He and four other soldiers saw a motionless, matte white, bean-shaped object with intersecting ridges hovering over a saddle of Cheyenne Mountain for 3 to 5 minutes before it vanished. Drawings they each made afterwards all matched. AARO contacted him in early 2024, but he says nobody ever interviewed him.

This document is a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) FD-302, a form the FBI uses to record interviews. This FD-302 contains a summary of an interview with a U.S. military service member in March 2025 regarding a February 2022 incident potentially involving unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). The individual described the phenomenon as being “bean shaped,” “matte white” or “off-white” in color, with a surface covered in “intersecting lines or ridges which formed an abstract polygon pattern.” The individual described the phenomenon as “motionless” and that “no sound could be heard coming from it.” FBI Note: AARO has since been in contact with the interviewee to conduct subsequent interviews to inform its analysis of this incident.

The object was covered in intersecti ng lines or ridges which formed an abstract polygon pattern which covered the entire object. - stated the object was about the size of 10% of the saddl e of the mountains, or about the size of a poo l cue at arms-length . None of the five men had a phone on them They all simultaneously looked away momentarily to decide to have one of them go back to the vehicle to get a phone to take a video. When they loo ked back the obj ect had vanished. They searched the western skyline but we r e not able find the object again. ■ They were all confused what they shou l d do next, They got together afterwards to di scuss what they had seen. They wondered if they had seen a UAP, and went through the alternatives it could have been, such as a b limp or a weather balloon . Each of them independently drew what they remembered the object to look like, and then t hey compared their drawings afterwards. All of the drawings were consistent i n showing a horizontal , white, "bean-shaped" object with abstract lines crossing on it. - believed that made an official report to the army about their observation. - stated he was contacted by AARO in early 2024 about their observation. He stated he provided a response, but that he was never interviewed by AARO or anyone e l se.
