Muldoon, dated 27 November 1979, about a heavily censored 1968 National Security Agency report that the paper obtained through Freedom of Information Act appeals. According to the article, the report concludes that UFOs are not all hoaxes and cites Air Force records of unexplained sightings. It also warns that contact with a technologically superior civilization could threaten human survival. The report compares an unprepared nation to the surprise at Pearl Harbor and urges a more urgent, survival-minded approach to the UFO problem.

# Govt.'s Super-Secret Security Agency Warns: Take UFOs Seriously or Be Prepared for 27 NOV 79 " National Enquirer " In one of the most startling government reports on UFOs ever, America's super-secret National Security Agency (NSA) says UFOs are real and warns that the country should prepare for a confrontation with space aliens. "The very fact that UFO phenomena have been witnessed all over the world from ancient times, and by considerable numbers of reputable scientists in recent times, now indicates rather strongly that UFOs are not all hoaxes." declares the dramatic report. "And if anything, rather than diminishing, the modern trend is toward increased reports, from all sources." The sensational document obtained exclusively by The ENQUIRER rips apart the notion that all UFOs are hoaxes or hallucinations. In one three-month period alone, "Air Force records show 35 sightings whose nature could not be determined," reveals the study. The fascinating document was prepared by the NSA in 1968. And what's more, the NSA has sounded a bone-chilling alarm: If Armerica doesn't start taking the sightings seriously, we are leaving ourselves wide open to the possibility of a Pearl Harbor-type UFO invasion!
