This National Security Agency release is a COMNAVSECGRU report of a visual sighting. The report is undated, and the document was declassified by COMNAVSECGRU on April 30, 1979. It describes a light that pulsed at first and then gave off concentric rings, followed by a reddish-green beam like a searchlight. The beam and core then formed a nebulous cloud that drifted south and faded after about 14 minutes. Weather data are included, and an electrical storm was noted over a city whose name is garbled.

AT BEARING OD2 TRUE NORTH, REEVALATION APPROX. IS DEGREES 23 17 82-19 W POSIT OF MULLER. DURING THE FIRST MIN OF OBSERVATION THE LIGHT AS PULSATING OR FLUCTUATING IN BRIGHTNESS AT APPROX. ONE SECOND INTERVAL. FOR THE NEXT FOOD HINS OF OBSERVATION THE LIGHT BEGAN PULSATING CONCENTRIC RINGS OF LIGHT. PRICH FLOWED FROM THE CENTRAL (S). SOURCE IN A RIPPLEING SHIMMERING FASHION DIMINISHING IN BRIGHTNESS AT THEY DRED FURTHER AND FURTHER AWAY FROM THE ORIGINATING SOURCE. DURING THE EQUIRTH-MIN OF OBSERVATION A REUISH-GREEN BEAM OF LIGHT APPEARED FROM THE CENTRAL CORE OF THE CONFIGURATION, EXTENDING OUTGARD AND DOWNARD TO THE LEFT AT AN HICLE OF APPROX. 45 DEGREES, AND LEACHING TO THE FADE OUT POINT OF THE RADIATING RINGS OF LIGHT. APPROX. FIVE MINS AFTER THE APPEARANCE OF THE REUISH-GREEN BEAM (SIMILAR IN APPEARANCE TO A SEARCHLIGHT BEAM). THE RADIATING CIRCLES OF LIGHT DISAPPEARED LEAVING
