Sec 557. 3ackground Information has come to our atterttion hat on July 14, 1984 at 10:30 pm Power Authority Police at the 1N01 AN POINT NUCLEAR POWER STATION AT BUCHANAN,N.Y. began reporting a object conming in towards the Nuetcar Station from the Northeast. The 1 object uns reported by de Power Authori.ty Police to be the size of a 5 football fields . The object was reported .to have a stsing of tigitts witich were cowited by tite power authority police to number 12. The object took on de shape of a Boomerang. ne object uns reported to be flying about 300 ft above the ground. Theobject came in over the securi.ty area crossing over de Con Edison Electric plautt Close by. de object uen came up the east gate of .the Nuclear Ptartt. It uen hooked around and hovered over Reactor M3. The Power Authority could not hear any sound comming from the object. The object could not be identifijed as any flying plane, helicopter, or Blimp The object Hovered 300 ft above ne ground and 100ft from Reactor M3. Compatchs began to malfaction, the securittj systems akutd ue perimeter shut dow*1. Pehsonat in de Reactor room began to get unnatural readings on de equiptment. The power Authority Police were den armed wiu shot guns for pertectaon of the plaitt, a catt was placed to Fort Smiu for a Helicopter to come and check ue object ont.
