This combined PDF of newspaper clippings, attributed to NICAP and the USAF with no date given, reports Lt. George Gorman's October 1 night encounter over Fargo, North Dakota. Gorman, of the North Dakota Air National Guard's 178th Fighter Squadron, said a small lighted object outran and outmaneuvered his F-51 for nearly half an hour, making head-on passes before climbing out of sight. Two control tower operators and a Cub pilot, optometrist Dr. A. E. Cannon, supported his account.

George Gorhan isn't planning a repeat performance.
