NAVAIR FOIA email about video release

U.S. Navy · 12 pages · text by OCR

This U.S. Navy FOIA email chain from June and July 2020 covers the handling of request DON-NAVY-2020-007330. That request sought records on the history and custody of videos of two F-18 Hornets tracking a UFO, which were cited in AFOSI file 3290517356125. NAWCAD records staff, N2N6's Joe Gradisher and several Navy judge advocates discuss which office should answer it, and staff identify the footage as the Gimbal video from VFA-11. Carrier Strike Group Eight, CVW-1 and VFA-11 found no responsive records, so a no-records response was prepared.

## (b) (6)

I received word back from CSG-8 (see below) and they have no responsive records. I have attached the Final Response and original request.

Do we need to run this through Gradisher or anybody else before releasing?

If not, could you please review and forward to (b) (6) for signature.

Thank you!
