This 2023 Federal Aviation Administration record from the Department of Transportation logs preliminary FAA operations information about a UAP report made on the evening of July 20, 2023. Los Angeles ARTCC said the crew of American 266, an A321 flying from Lihue to Los Angeles, saw an unidentified aerial phenomenon. At the time the aircraft was eastbound at 14,000 feet, 16 miles west-southwest of Camarillo, California. The crew described multiple lights that appeared to separate, and no evasive action was taken.
