This Federal Aviation Administration preliminary report from FAA Operations covers an event on June 10, 2023. Miami Air Route Traffic Control Center said Copa Airlines flight 404, a Boeing 737-800 flying from Panama City to Washington Dulles, reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon at 37,000 feet near Marathon International Airport in the Florida Keys. The crew described a stationary white light that switched on and off at intervals. Several other aircraft nearby reported similar sightings. No evasive action or operational impacts were reported.
